The ProFitness Arthritis Care Program
According to the Centers for Disease Control,
arthritis is the leading cause of disability in the
U.S. In fact, an estimated 46 million people (1 in 5
adults) report being doctor-diagnosed with arthritis,
and nearly 19 million report activity limitations as
a result of the disease.
The good news is that if you have arthritis…
• You don’t
have to be in pain
• You don’t
have to be stiff
• You don’t
have to feel weak
• You don’t
have to give up many of the activities you love

About
Arthritis
Arthritis comprises over
100 different diseases and conditions. The most
common are osteoarthritis, gout, rheumatoid arthritis,
and fibromyalgia. Although scientists are still
studying the causes of the various forms of arthritis,
generally speaking, arthritis causes physical
changes in the joints that trigger inflammation
and pain. Over time arthritis can lead to significant
joint stiffness and muscular weakness, making
normal activities difficult or impossible |
The ProFitness Arthritis Care Program
is proud to deliver essential help for thousands of
New Yorkers who are battling this chronic condition.
Our specialized
program is tailored to meet your individual needs
We start with a thorough assessment to determine the
severity of your arthritis and how it has affected your
strength, mobility and quality of life. Then we develop
a customized therapy program that is designed to:
• Relieve pain and inflammation
• Reduce joint stiffness
• Increase mobility and muscle strength
• Help you reach your activity goals
Your program may include stretching and
strengthening exercises, as well as massage and other
therapeutic modalities to relieve pain and inflammation.
And it’s all delivered by your dedicated physical
therapist in a highly motivating and supportive environment.
Your key advantage
is our 100% focused, one-on-one care
At ProFitness, we are committed to giving 100% of our
expertise and effort to every patient at all times.
This means that your dedicated physical therapist works
one-on-one with you through every minute of every rehab
session – providing expert assessment and guidance,
and constant encouragement and support.
In other rehab facilities, you may not
always work with the same physical therapist, or you
may work with a PT assistant instead. And often, your
therapist may work with several other patients at the
same time. These factors can make it difficult to get
the level of care you need to achieve your goals.
That’s why our care is always provided
ONE therapist to ONE patient. ONE at a time. EVERY TIME.
It’s the ProFitness AdvantageSM. And it’s
what helps us achieve such excellent results.
